Wayne Larson Hall was born in Ewarton St Catherine. He attended the Ewarton Primary School, Charlemont High School and GC Foster College of PE and Sports. Wayne loved sports and played on his high school Dacosta Cup football team. Upon graduation from College Wayne won the Caldon Finance Merchant Bank academics award in 1991. He was named teacher of the year at GC Foster in 1991. He taught at the then Mcgrath Secondary School from September 1991 to March 1995.He migrated to New York residing in Mount Vernon for nine years before moving to the metro Atlanta area, where he currently resides.
Wayne Hall (called “insane Wayne” by his peers) brings an interesting mix of experience and talent to radio. The GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sports graduate began doing sports reporting while attending college in Spanish Town Jamaica. Wayne has a passion for news in general and sports in particular. He speaks fluent Spanish and is an avid lover of music.After migrating to NY 18 years ago, Wayne studied business management At Monroe College in New Rochelle NY, and spent several years in corporate America. At the end of 2011, the Atlanta Broadcast Institute graduate made a decision to pursue his lifelong passion for radio.
He joined the Island Blend Radio team in March of 2012 where he broadcasted the news and sports and hosted the show as well. With a very keen sense of humor, he brings a unique and charismatic style of presentation.He now hosts his own show (“The Wayne Hall Show”) on Saturdays between 1 and 4 PM, Wednesdays 4-6 PM on and Thursdays 8 to 10 PM (on Power 102.1 FM Boston, 101.9 FM North Miami) along with www.reggaevibesradio.com.
