Jahvillani drops a new Clarks video
“Bad Clarks and Blue Jeans” details Jahvillani’s ongoing love affair with the British shoe brand Clarks, which gained notoriety in the 1960s through the Jamaican “rude boys” movement. In previous singles, Jahvillani has opined about his love of the brand and has even been referred to as one of Clarks’ fashion ambassadors. Jahvillani’s new single only solidifies that identity.
The video is about a day in the life of the dancehall star and deejay. Lyrics detail Jahvillani’s encounters with numerous women and fans while partying, perfecting his smooth but edgy style, and experiencing the street life while showing out in his baddest pair of Clarks. Jahvillani’s star continues to rise in the music industry: He has been featured on a number of radio shows around the globe and appeared live on Capital One Xtra’s Tim Westwood Show as well as Seani B’s BBC Radio 1 Xtra.
The star’s previous music videos, including “Wileside Government,” “Clarks Pon Foot,” "Sunday 2 Sunday" and “Rubberband” have almost 10 million combined views on YouTube alone. The video for “Bad Clarks and Blue Jeans” should only continue the artist’s explosive success.
